Back To School Fun Family Fitness Challenge

With summer coming to a close and a different school experience beginning soon, keep yourself and your kids active and having fun together. Whether it’s during school hours, after school or before bed, your kids will love doing a fun activity or having some friendly competition to help take away the stress of a new schedule.

  1. Dance Party! (This is our favorite thing to do – just crank up the music and dance!)
  2. Family Walk
  3. Sit Up Challenge (Who can do the most in a specified time limit)
  4. Push-ups on commercial breaks (Watch your favorite family show and exercise on breaks)
  5. Play “Just Dance” on your video gaming system (This game is the most fun ever and will get you sweating!)
  6. Jumping Jack challenge
  7. Sack Races or Relay Races
  8. Go Skating
  9. Bedtime yoga – Downward Dog Pose, Plank Pose, Cat/Cow Pose, Child’s Pose (See Pic)

  13. Superhero exercise – Have parents lookup an exercise your favorite Superhero does to stay in shape.
